At Yorba Regional Animal Hospital, we offer your pets the best surgical care and post surgical monitoring, using the most advanced equipment. Our hospital is staffed with doctors and a highly trained technical team 24-hours per day 7-days per week, including holidays.
Before any surgical procedure your pet will receive a complete physical examination and pre-anesthetic blood analysis. The results from our onsite laboratory help us identify any conditions that are undetectable by physical exam. Although there are always risks associated with anesthesia, this thorough evaluation of your pet’s health will help reduce the risks and help ensure a successful operation.
During surgery your pet will be continually monitored with the same techniques used in human medicine. IV fluids are always given during surgery to support blood pressure and help the body cope with the stress of anesthesia and surgery. You can rest assured that your pet will receive proactive pain management and round the clock monitoring for immediate detection of any postoperative complications.
Some of the surgeries performed at our facility are:
- Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic Surgery, including spays and prophylactic gastropexy
- Select Ophthalmic Surgeries
- Oral/GI Surgery
- Skin/Wound Reconstruction
- Upper Respiratory/Thoracic Surgery
- Urinary Surgery
Prior to scheduling your pet’s surgery, all options will be discussed with you. We always keep your pet’s best interest in mind. Dr. Maria Fahie, a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgery, is on staff for difficult surgeries where a Board Certified Surgeon is requested or recommended.
