Special Needs Boarding

It can be especially difficult to leave your pet to go on vacation when that pet has special needs due to injury, illness or developmental challenges. Because you deserve to have a good time while you’re away, and your pet deserves the same level of care that he or she would receive at home, Yorba Regional Animal Hospital offers specialized boarding services for special needs pets.

Just like any other pet, a special needs animal simply wants to be loved and taken care of. Our professional team has a genuine and deeply rooted love for all animals, and takes special care of those that might need a little extra attention. You can rest assured that your cat, dog, rabbit or other companion is in the best of hands with the vets and staff of Yorba Regional Animal Hospital.

For the pets that require constant medical observation, our veterinarian and highly trained nursing team will work together to ensure proper monitoring. We are well aware of each boarder’s individual situation, and keep meticulous records on everything that happens while you’re not around. We can even set your pet up with a web cam so that you can check in from time to time.

Special needs boarding fees

We work to keep our boarding prices fair and competitive. These charges apply to all animals cats and dogs requiring special monitoring and/or medication:

• Special Needs Medication: $3/dose of medication.
• Special Needs Diabetics: $14/day plus $3/dose of medication.
• Special Needs Hospitalization: $64/calendar day for boarding in the treatment area with 24 hour nursing care.
